Dr. Penny Gozia came to practice at Southern OB/GYN in 1987.  She graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed her OB/GYN residency at Southern Illinois University Affiliated Hospitals in Springfield, IL.  Dr. Gozia holds a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University School of Business in Edwardsville, IL.  Prior to joining Southern OB/GYN Dr. Gozia practiced in Vandalia, IL.       

Dr. Gozia is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She is a member of the Clinton County, Southern Illinois and Illinois State Medical Societies, American College of Medical Practice Executives and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Dr. Gozia’s special interests of practice include geriatric gynecology, vaginal surgery, hi-risk obstetrics and routine OB and GYN care.   

Dr. Gozia has one son who will finish law school in the spring of 2009.  Her outside interests include cooking, taking cooking classes, traveling and spending time with her family.
