ROBOTIC Surgery

Dr. Deirdre Knobeloch is fellowship trained in advanced gynecologic surgery. She routinely performs robotic surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon and Anderson Hospital in Maryville. Robotic surgery allows most patients to go home the same day as their procedure, and they often have a quicker recovery than open gynecology procedures. Robotic Surgery can be performed on patients with complex noncancerous gynecology issues, endometriosis, pelvic scar tissue, large fibroid tumors, PCOS or previous pelvic surgeries. Schedule your consult with Dr. Knobeloch today. Dr. Doll-Pollard is also trained in robotic surgery and is now scheduling cases as well. For more information, please visit our robotic surgery page.

Laparoscopic Surgery

Dr. Anne Doll-Pollard, Dr. Bonnie Gelly, Dr. Raina Armbruster and Dr. Deirdre Knobeloch all perform laparoscopic procedures. Laparoscopy can be diagnostic or operative. Diagnostic procedures can include evaluations for infertility, pain or bleeding issues. Operative cases can be done for removing tubes, ovaries or scar tissue. Laparoscopic hysterectomies are also an option that allow patients to go home the same day and enjoy an enhanced surgical recovery.

Hysteroscopic surgery

Drs. Doll-Pollard, Gelly, Armbruster and Knobeloch perform office or same day hysteroscopic surgery. By placing a small camera in the uterus, diagnosing and treating issues like bleeding or pain are often possible. All SOGA physicians perform endometrial ablations and Myosure hysteroscopic procedures at many of our locations. Patients can go home the same day and recover quickly.
